This Privacy Policy describes, in general terms, how CanvasCode handles the personal data collected on this site, in accordance with applicable data protection law (including Brazil's LGPD, Law No. 13.709/2018). By using the site, you agree to the processing described here.

Data controller

The data collected on this site is processed by CanvasCode, which is responsible for determining the purposes and means of the processing.

Data we process

We collect only the data needed for the purposes described in this policy, including:

• Data you provide: the email address you enter to download the app and, optionally, a name.
• Browsing and source data: technical information about your access, the source of your visit and your use of the site, collected in a minimized form and, where applicable, protected or de-identified.
• License activation data: if you activate an app license, we receive technical device data (a machine identifier, the computer name and the app and system versions), used only to validate the license and control how many devices it covers.
• Purchase data: when you buy a license, we record the email you provide, the order and the payment data returned by the provider (amount, currency and transaction identifiers). Card details are handled directly by the payment provider; we never receive or store them.
• Consent and security records: records needed to evidence the choices you make and to protect the site against fraud and abuse.

Purposes and legal basis

We process your data to enable the app download and to share CanvasCode news; to validate the app license when you activate it; to operate, measure, improve and protect the site; and to comply with legal and regulatory obligations. The applicable legal bases include consent (for communications, which you may withdraw at any time), performance of a contract and legitimate interest (for the download, license validation, measurement and security, always with data minimization) and compliance with a legal obligation. When you buy a license, we also process the purchase data to handle the payment and issue the purchased license.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent your data. We may share it with service providers acting on our behalf, under confidentiality and security obligations, and with authorities or third parties when required by law, court order or to protect rights. Any integrations with third-party tools for analytics or advertising depend on your consent. To process payments we use Stripe, which receives only the data needed to charge you; we never store your card details.

We use cookies that are essential to the operation and security of the site and, with your consent, optional cookies. Details are in the Cookie Policy.

Retention

We keep data for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes of this policy and applicable legal obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

Your rights

Under applicable data protection law, you may request, at any time, confirmation of and access to your data, correction, anonymization, blocking or deletion, portability, information about sharing and withdrawal of consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out lawfully beforehand. The fastest way to stop receiving our communications is the unsubscribe link in the emails; other requests are handled on demand, except where retention is required by law.

Security

We adopt reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your data. No system is entirely secure and absolute security cannot be guaranteed; in the event of a relevant incident, we will take the appropriate measures.

International transfer

Your data may be processed or stored on servers located in other countries. In such cases, we adopt the safeguards required by applicable law.

Minors

This site is not intended for minors, and we do not intentionally collect data from children or adolescents.
