Write to the canvas, on the subscription you already pay for

One box, and the canvas obeys

Press ⌘J and a box opens over the canvas. Write what you would say to a person: "open two Codex agents", "who is working?", "bring Hermes back and have him run the tests".

It creates and dismisses agents, hands out tasks, arranges the panels, reads the repository, answers the questions agents ask, switches projects, opens a file for you to read. It is the same assistant that already answered by voice, now in writing, for when talking is not an option.

No second subscription

This is the point. Its brain is the CLI you already use: Claude Code, Codex, Grok or opencode. If you pay for one of those, it works. No API key, no prepaid credit, no second account to manage.

And it does not program: it does not read files, does not run commands, does not touch your code. When a request calls for real work, it hands the job to an agent, which is what agents are for.

It knows where you are

Ask "who is working?" and the answer is about the project on your screen right now, and about the workspace you are in, not the whole project.

Switch projects mid-conversation and it notices the switch, instead of answering about the previous one. That sounds like a detail and it is the opposite: it is the difference between an assistant and a chat that speaks confidently about a place you have already left.

Speak, if you prefer

With the box open, your usual dictation key types into it. The box becomes the listening panel, with the wave that follows your voice and the text appearing in the field as you speak, and you check it before sending. Prefer hands free? Turn on auto-send and you do not even do that.

And if nobody is selected when you start dictating, the box opens on its own to catch what you say. Before, that speech sat waiting for you to pick a recipient.

Want to hear the reply? Turn it on in Settings. It reads with the same voice as the alerts, and stays quiet during a meeting.

It stays out of the way

The box floats over the canvas without pushing anything aside, and shows what you choose: just the field, just the last reply, or the whole conversation. Never the tangle of a terminal: what you read is what it answered.

A click anywhere on the canvas closes it, and that click still does what you meant it to do. Whatever you had written is still there when you come back, and a reply that arrives while it is closed waits for you in the bar.
