Release 1.57.0
Agents can talk to each other, if you let them. In Settings › Agents there's a new switch, Open conversation between agents. When it's on, any agent in the project can message any other, in any area, on screen or minimized. When it's off (the default), each one only talks to the agent it called or the one that called it. The sender says whether it wants a reply, so they don't keep thanking each other forever. And if you ask to talk to an agent that was already closed, it comes back to the screen with its memory to get the message.
Agents tidy up the screen for you. Ask an agent to minimize, take off the shelf, maximize, highlight, release from the grid or move to another area any panel on the canvas, and it does. Your view and the panel you're using stay where they are, and when something leaves the view a notice appears with a button to undo it.
Keep typing while your agents talk. Before, a message from one agent to another went into the same field you type in: if you were in the middle of a sentence, both went out together as a single message. Now, with Claude agents, the message arrives from the inside, as a note from a teammate, and the sentence you left halfway stays there, untouched. With other agents, the message waits until you send or erase what you were writing.
