The message comes to you

Canvas Code exchanges messages between different people, each on their own Mac, with the content sealed end to end. Until now that lived in a panel, and a mail panel is something nobody keeps open all day. The message arrived and sat there, waiting for someone to remember it.

In this version it shows up. A notice on the canvas that doesn't fade on its own, and a Mac banner that reaches you even with the app behind another window. Clicking opens the message on top of whatever you were doing. You read it, reply, and go back to work without opening any panel.

The panel is still there, with a different job: it's the archive. Two tabs now, because half of it didn't exist. Received and Sent, and under sent you also see what never made it out, with the reason spelled out.

The attachment actually does something

A colleague sends a deploy log, a screen they designed, a screenshot, a contract. Before, all of that arrived as a grey line with a name and a size, and stopped there.

Now each thing becomes what it is inside the app:

• Images paste straight onto the canvas, or save wherever you want.
• Markdown, code, logs open in the viewer, formatted.
• Designs land as a new file in your project and open on the surface, with the colors and fonts exactly as the other person set them.
• A video link in the middle of the text opens in the player. A regular address, in the browser.

No copying, no pasting, no explaining twice

The case that happens most: someone writes saying a certain file is broken. You'd read it, understand it, switch panels, and type the whole thing again for an agent.

Now there's a button. The agent gets who wrote, the subject, the text and the files that came along, already saved here and referenced by path. If the message is the kind that proposes work, you can open a new agent already up to speed.

Nothing runs on its own, and that still holds: the agent is born when you click, on your machine, with your repository.

Also in this version

When you create a design, you choose who's going to draw it: nobody for now, if you just want the file; an agent already on the canvas; or a brand new agent just for it.

And when a contact starts using a new Mac, the app tells you. That's the moment to confirm with the person before opening what they send.
